    Happy birthday, onii-chan!

    This is a birthday present to my friend (who I used to call "onii-chan"). I drew Cloud because FFVII was his first Final Fantasy! (BTW sorry for that spoiler, in the fandom is common knowledge.) AND because I want to comemorate the announce of the remake of FFVII! Oh mein gott, my twitter and facebook almost broke that day.

    Oh, the glasses are a reference to my favorite author Machado de Assis, whose birthday is also today!! Many of my works have references to his books. He's a great example of someone dedicated to what he loves. I really recommend to search for his biography.

    The clothes I took from a picture of Castro Alves, a brazilian poet from the 3rd generation of Romantism, also know as "the poet of the slaves". Machado de Assis came a while after the Romantism, actually his book "Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas" is what initiates the Realism in Brazil, but his works from Romantism are good too. Also, Assis was friends with José de Alencar, another poet from the 1st generation of Romantism.

    Now we have to study about him and his books for entrance exams! Ahahahaha~
