Inluster Caecilius

This was for an assignment from illustration class. Which I handed in today. It was about creatures, we had a list of fantastic beings in which we had to choose one and work on it visually thinking about the given characteristics and adding more details. This was done in five hours and I was very (VERY) surprised with the result. It was inspired by Yoshitaka Amano's style. His arts really inspired me to use this kind of visual.

This is one of my creations: Inluster Caecilius or Cecil, the Radiant, I personally call it as "the walking tree". Some may know this one as a "treant". However the briefing I received was a little more specific in certain details that discerns from the charecteristics of a treant.

Well, the young man below is how he was before becoming a tree. Cecil was a great mage when he was a human, unfortunately due to a failure during life that chased his mind wherever he went, he sealed himself as way of ending his angst. He didn't imagine what would become of him after waking up again.
